Mission and Passion:
At Immanuel Baptist Church, we will live a life of passion: Passion for the Lord,
for His word, for each other, and for the world.
Immanuel’s Core Values:
Excellence: We are committed
to excellence. Excellence is not the goal of our ministry, but it is the approach
we take to ministry. Because the goal is to serve God in all that we say and
do for and through Jesus Christ, we will do that with excellence.
Worship:
We are committed to worshiping God. We worship God because He is worthy and
deserving of all our adoration. We come together because He commands it. Our
corporate worship overflows into a lifestyle that demonstrates love and mission,
lived for the glory of God.
Bible
Study: We are committed to Bible study. Through small group communities,
we share the Bible’s teachings with one another and with the world. We
aspire to be doers of the word and to proclaim Christ so that all within our
influence might become fully devoted disciples.
Hospitality:
We are committed, in all that we do, to demonstrate love, unity, and a gracious
welcome to all. We believe that a friendly and welcoming spirit is the demonstration
of Christ-like behavior to each other and to those outside of our fellowship.
Intergenerational
Ministry: We are committed to being an intergenerational church. We
see strength in different generations worshiping together, serving together,
and learning from each other. We see the intergenerational church as a picture
of the New Testament church.
Missions:
We are committed to missions. We believe that obedience to Acts 1:8 includes
support of and involvement in missions, wherever they may be. We will live out
this core value through prayer, financial support, and going to mission fields.
Evangelism:
We are committed to sharing the Gospel with others through various approaches
to evangelism, including servant evangelism. By reaching out to our community,
we will show the love of Christ through acts of service with no strings attached.
