SERVANT
EVANGELISM...
...is
the act of sharing God’s love in practical, unexpected, and simple
ways. It is an opportunity to introduce people to our friend, Jesus,
by demonstrating God’s love through acts of service with no strings
attached.

Ways we've shared God's love...
A group from Immanuel
spent the morning of February 14 (Valentines Day) showing God’s love by
handing out free donuts and coffee to more than 120 individuals and several
area offices, banks, schools and fire stations in and around downtown Lexington.
35 dozen donuts and 4 gallons of coffee were served on a cold rainy morning.
Our first project
attempt was to give out over 2000 cold bottles of water to soccer match participants
and spectators during the Bluegrass Games at Masterson Station Park last summer.
Emmett Boland’s Bible Study class donated 300 teddy bears to the local
police department to give to children during an emergency or police response
situation.
The In Focus Class
gave out baskets of non-perishable food to firehouses for them to enjoy a meal
together.
Ray Lowry’s
Co-Ed Bible Study class prepared 75 small bags of kindness (candy bars, peppermints,
metal cross with a poem, and the plan of salvation) and gave them out to individuals
at Central Baptist Hospital.
The Adult 10 Bible
Study class gave boxes of food and water to folks in the waiting rooms at Central
Baptist Hospital.
The Tapestry Women’s
Ministry prepared over 300 bags of trail mix and along with their families delivered
these bags on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to nurses and staff people at
three area hospitals.
