Service Projects: Opportunities to Share

  • Our Single Adult Council and Bible Study organizations are constantly brainstorming how we as a single adult ministry can use our time, talent, and resources to help others less fortunate. Ministry, as defined by Jesus, can be as simple as a cup of cold water offered in His name. When we meet the needs of others, they have a clearer picture of our Lord and Savior through our lives. To serve, e-mail James and we'll get back with you concerning a variety of service and ministry opportunities.
  • Our single adults also lead out in a Lexington community based project called "Feed the Hungry," the second and third Wednesdays of each month. This ministry takes place at the First Baptist Church of Lexington, 233 S. Main Street. To learn more about this program, contact Sandra.
  • For several years, our ministry has served a "Shoney's style" breakfast at the Hope Center for the homeless of Lexington. To learn more about this, meet at the Hope Center on the first Saturday of each month at 7:00 a.m., 360 Louden Avenue, or call the church office at 685-3200.
  • Our weekly Sunday School lessons are not just opportunities to fill our heads with Bible knowledge, but also a call to take the good news of Jesus to the neediest people in the world. See the external links to the right to discover some of the needs of the world and how you might make a difference!
