Don is a native of Tennessee and moved to Louisville in 1969 to earn the Master of
Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Seminary and the Doctor of Ministry degree
from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. Although ordained as a Baptist minister
while attending UnionUniversity in Jackson, Tennessee, he was asked to pastor
United Methodist churches in Kentucky, which he did for 30 years before retiring
in 2004. He and his wife, Mary, joined Immanuel in November, 2004 and
assumed duties as Administrative Pastor in July, 2007.
